Black Friday is coming...

Posted on 29 November 2019

Shopping online for Black Friday deals can often mean a huge amount of cardboard arriving with the deliveries.

The good thing about cardboard is that it can be recycled in your recycling bin at home, and if you fold it flat and tear it into smaller pieces (ideally the size of a cereal box), you’ll be able to fit more in.

If you fold your cardboard flat and it’s still too big for your recycling bin, you can save it and take it down to your local Household Waste Recycling Site when you visit next. Details of your nearest site can be found online.

Please remember to make sure to remove any polystyrene or plastic wrap and put this into your general waste before recycling the cardboard though, as these items cannot be accepted for recycling in your household bin.
