Happy Halloween!

Posted on 31 October 2019

It's all getting very spooky in the towns and villages of West Sussex, and there are plenty of pumpkins to be seen adorning gardens and windowsills.

Did you know that 18,000 tonnes of pumpkins go to waste every year in the UK after Halloween, although there are lots of different things that could be done with them?

With this in mind, we are asking you, the residents of West Sussex, to give us #PumpkinToTalkAbout this year, by sending us photographs of your best carved pumpkins, along with top tips about using up the flesh and seeds, or ideas on what to do with the shells once the trick or treating is all over.

We will have a very special prize for one of the top tips that we receive, and will be sharing the photos and ideas across our social media channels. All the entries that give us a tip and a photo of their carved pumpkin will be entered in to a draw, so keep your eyes on our social media channels for more details.
