Students help to tackle textiles in new video

Posted on 1 April 2019

100kgs of textiles is thrown away into the general rubbish bin in West Sussex every five minutes costing over a million pounds a year in disposal costs.

So we went to Chichester Free School and got their students involved in our new film to get more people in the county Tackling Textiles.

We used 100kgs of clothes, towels, blankets and sheets in the video to create the recycling symbol. The students were also asked questions on their perceptions of recycling.

Check out the video and let us know what you’re doing to help tackle textiles in the comments on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

And remember, if you are unable to reuse or repair your textiles you can recycle them, by taking them to your nearest Household Waste Recycling Site or bring bank site and putting them in the textiles bin.
