Pass On Plastic

#PassOnPlastic this Waste Week

Posted on 11 March 2019

Single-use plastics are still a hot topic and lots of people are looking for ways to cut down on using them.

During last year’s Waste Week we challenged residents in West Sussex to #PassOnPlastic and find an alternative for at least one plastic item they would usually use just once and then throw away.

This Waste Week (11-17 March) we’re asking for you to join us again and #PassOnPlastic. Even a couple of small changes can make a big difference over time.

We’ll be sharing advice on Twitter and Facebook to help people think about waste prevention and cut down on the amount of plastic which ends up in the bin. Things like plastic straws, plastic cutlery, cling film, and plastic bags are all on our hit list!

Remember, whilst not all single-use plastics can be recycled - plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays including black plastics can be placed in your kerbside recycling bin
