Enjoy the wonders of the High Weald with a new walking festival

Posted on 3 September 2018

This September why not join the first ever High Weald Walking Festival and explore one of the UK’s most beautiful medieval landscapes.

Completely free of charge the festival runs from 15 to 23 September and has 36 walks throughout the week where experienced and knowledgeable guides will lead themed walks covering local history, art, literature, wildlife and geology.

If this is something you fancy doing, why not take a picnic and make a day of it.

When packing the goodies for your expedition try and do your bit to #PassOnPlastic and take pre-packed lunch boxes, refillable water bottles and even try and ditch the clingfilm for beeswax reusable food wraps instead. Most importantly, don’t forget to take all your rubbish home and recycle what you can.
