NEW Cooking Oil recycling service

Posted on 2 July 2012

You can now recycle your used cooking oil by taking it to a Household Waste Recycling Site (HWRS)

Used cooking oil can be accepted for recycling at the following HWRS:

- Billingshurst

- Burgess Hill

- Chichester (Westhampnett)

- Crawley

- East Grinstead

- Horsham

- Littlehampton

- Shoreham

- Worthing

This new recycling service is for householders ONLY to recycle their used cooking oil.

Please bring the used cooking oil to the HWRS in plastic bottles and the used cooking oil can be deposited in special containers on site for recycling. The plastic bottles can then be recycled in the appropriate container. Please ask a member of staff for assistance.

A maximum of 5 litres per visit can be accepted.

The used cooking oil will be recycled to produce a fuel, which can then be used to generate electricity.

Please note - due to operational constraints, Bognor Regis and Midhurst HWRS are UNABLE to accept used cooking oil for recycling.
